The MiNewt lights were designed for MTB trails. This USB model doesn't put out as much light as their X2 model, but it is loads brighter than my lights that run on AA batteries.

I'll vouch for it. I don't own one, but we have these at the shop, very bright, very wide cone of light. Good deal, especially with the helmet mount.

yeah, $75 looks like a good deal to me for a light like this. Especially if you're a commuter who works a desk job - just plug that puppy into your computer while you work and you're ready to go.
