awright, so i was approached sunday about how we determine games. seems a few people were cut out because of 'tourney play' when they rightfully had mallets lined up. i appreciate that tourney time can be exciting, but no one should be pulled, especially newer players, because they aren't on a team. wednesdays and sundays are for everyone and if we need to devote time for team practice, so be it, but not at the expense of newer players.
on that same line of thought, we need to determine how future games are to be played. chris says in new yawk, they gather all the mallets, and dish out all the possible games at once, to be played in order. obviously we have a bit more flexibility, as well as less players, but we need to make sure that everyone is getting to play and that we are using both courts if need be. sorry if this sounds bitchy but we can figure something out.

well, I think it's bullshit to pull people's mallets out when they're rightfully waiting in line for a game. This happened to me twice last Sunday and it happened to a few others as well.

My opinion on this is, if you want to arrange a match-up with a set team, or between two set teams, then gather up those mallets, and put them in a pile like everyone else. If that means you have to sit out a few games just to get your desired match-up, then so be it.

I don't have any problems with people getting excited before tournaments, and wanting to get some specialized playing time in, but I don't think it means you can act like you deserve special treatment because you've got a team together.

Also, we need to make it clear to the new folks that if you want in on a game, claim a mallet that you're going to use (remember what it looks like if you don't have your own)... stick it into the "Next Game" pile... that's how you get in on a waiting game when there are a lot of people wanting to play.

There was some confusion over this last weekend, when someone tried to jump in on a game that was already mixed up into teams and the teams were already on the court.

These are all good problems to have, because it means more people are interested in playing!
