What do you do when you see a wrong-way rider?
Nothing, I'm probably going the wrong way too.

On my way to lunch I saw a guy on a yellowbike riding the wrong way against traffic on Winchester Rd. At one point he had to jump onto the sidewalk because a semi was coming at him around a corner and didn't see him. This was right after a cop had passed him and didn't even blink.

Do you ever say anything to wrong-way cyclists? Do you think we should?

I'll sometimes yell "you're going the wrong way" at them if I'm within ear shot, or "other side of the street, dude" if they're coming at me in a bike lane.

I was thinking about this today after watching a girl from my class bike down Scott street the wrong way. I will generally mutter at people if they are in the bike lane, but I don't think it's particularly effective.

Honestly, I get more pissed at people riding bikes on the sidewalk, than people riding the wrong way in the bike lanes. It's not against the law, but I think it's more dangerous than riding the wrong way in the bike lane. Which is why I think the bike cops in Lexington set such a bad example for everyone - they NEVER ride on the roads like they should... and since they are so visible and they're authority, people are influenced by their actions.

pedestrians = sidewalk
autos, bikes and other motor vehicles = street

If i ever ride the wrong way then I do it sensibly and only for a short distance, and I only do it to save time. I never ride just for the thrill of going against traffic. Same with sidewalks. Around campus it's unavoidable and I only do it to get from A to B quicker.
