I was at the goodwill on clay's mill rd today and they have a pair of bike shoes. They were a bit too small for me, so they might be perfect for a young lady or a boy who's a bit girlier than I (insert jokes here, peanut gallery).

anyway - they're northwave (i think?) road shoes, velcro, size 41. they looked brand new and are not funky. one of the inserts is missing from the sole bottoms, so that might rule out some pedals - not sure. i believe they cost $3.

hope someone gets these and uses them. let us know if you do.

For us non-worldly yokels, that's a size 8 men's and a 9.5 women's.

Seeing that I have "smaller" feet, I went to check it out. They fit me and $3 was worth seeing if I can make them work. I know nothing about this equipment, so I might need some help or advice. I guess the first step will be to see if that part can be replaced.

ben-
i'm glad you got them. i'd take them to a shop, or look around the internet for clipless info. i think that certain cleats take the red insert and certain cleats don't. that's why it's removable. i may be wrong. one of the guys at any of the shops should know.

good luck!

Actually, I am in search of an used pair of road shoe pedals if anybody has an extra pair they aren't using.
